For three days in August, Lichtin Plaza at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts will come alive with art that transcends the perceptions of what can typically be found in a traditional performing arts venue. 

From local bands on the verge of making it big, to the region's favorite theatrical companies expanding their own visions of theatre into new forms; from new collaborations of music and dance, to a total sensory immersion found in expansive tunnels of light and color; from horseback comedy on stage, to international thespians performing on high...  ART ON THE EDGE will bring it all to downtown Raleigh.
