About Arts Alive

Art Raleigh is the final event in the Arts Alive on Lichtin Plaza series, a year-long celebration designed to expose the community to a variety of art--from visual to performing, fine art to craft, time-honored to cutting-edge--by creating an arts destination in the heart of downtown Raleigh.

With four distinct festivals, The Capital Holiday Arts Celebration, Puppet Fusion, Art on the Edge and Art Raleigh, the series celebrates the creative spectrum of performing and visual art.

Arts Alive on Lichtin Plaza is a production of Artsplosure - The Raleigh Arts Festival, Inc. and is supported by nine local corporations and the City of Raleigh.  Presenting sponsors include:  BB&T, Capitol Broadcasting Company, Highwoods Properties, Lichtin Corporation, The News & Observer, Preston Development Company, Progress Energy, RBC Bank , WakeMed, and The City of Raleigh. 

Artsplosure receives operating support from the City of Raleigh based on the recommendation sof the Raleigh Arts Comission and the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Cultural Resources, and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes a great nation deserves great art.
